Hakon grew up in Glenwood, AB and in 2007 received a Bachelors of Economics degree from Brigham Young University. He afterwards attended the University of Lethbridge where he earned a Certificate in Accounting.
He has worked in public practice for the past two years and has since successfully written the 2011 UFE, the last crucial step to receiving his Chartered Accountant designation.
Hakon and his wife Katelyn have two boys and are glad to be back living in Cardston.
