Deborah has been interested in accounting since being strongly encouraged to take an accounting class in High School – which she at first had no interest in. In pursuit of her goal she went on to earn a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta in 1991. From there she articled with Coopers & Lybrand in Edmonton, Alberta while working towards her CA designation.
In 1996 she moved to Cardston where she took a job with Mark Wood, CA whose firm later went on to become part of Price Comin & Johnson LLP.
Deb and her husband Darren have three children and live in Cardston. She also takes an active role in the community as the treasurer for the Jim & Mary Kearl Library board.
